Warre Hive: Plans using standard size lumber part one

Here are the plans for building the Floor and Hive  using 1x8" (actual 3/4x 7-1/4")

As you can see this is  a shallow hive box @ 1 inch shallower than what its called for in the traditional plans.
This can be constructed  without using power tools.
To avoid splitting  the wood  pre-drill for screws.
To made the rabbit for the top bars, the use of a router or table saw  is recommended.
All the wood joins are glued and screwed together.

When using power tools be sure to follow all safety precautions and use safety glasses.

Photos will follow in a later post.
I will later post the plans for the roof and a hive using 1x10" and 1x4" boards.
