Thanks for the blog. I raised bees briefly as a teenager, and am thinking about taking it up again, as part of a larger homestead plan. A little research has led me to favor the Warre' hive design. I have the woodworking skills to build a hexagonal hive, and could make my own plans but, if a good plan already exists, then why reinvent the wheel? So far, I have only found one site that actually discusses construction and they seem heavy and "overbuilt" to me. Have you found any plans for the hexagonal, octagonal, or round hives that look practical to you? Thanks, Bill C Pennsylvania
